Yes!! I made it through the semester!! What a great experience!
Second rotation:
I loved my second rotation placement. I was in a Kindergarten class with Mrs. Paul. I was a little nervous coming from a fourth grade class which I loved. I always thought I would want to teach Kindergarten but I fell in love with my fourth graders. I knew it was going to be a completely different experience. The first day with the Kindergartners was very intimidating. It was a completely different experience and classroom. The children were so young and still seemed like babies to me. As the days passed I started to realize how much I was falling in love with these sweet little children. I had to change the teaching style I had become accustomed to. It was not to difficult for me to adapt, just a little scary. I ended up having a great semster with the Knidergartners and learned so much from them.
Semester as a whole:
I enjoyed the Quest 2 experience so much. I met some great friends that I will keep in touch with the rest of my life. I also learned so much from being in the classroom. I can not imagine going into a classroom without having been in the classroom yet. I got to experience Fourth grade and Kindergarten. They were both such a different experience. Of course, I fell in love with all of my students. I learned teaching strategies that can not be taught in our courses. It was great having the personal field experience and doing hands on activities with the students.
Growth as a Teacher:
I will continue to use all of the teaching strategies that I learned from Quest 2 in my own classroom. I will continue to keep in touch with my PLC group to talk with them about their experiences and collaborate our ideas. I am going to go into all of challenges with an open mind and continue the growth of my education.
Professional Attributes:
I learned so much over the years about professional attributes. I actually was not so sure about these attributes when I first started the program, but now they all make sense. I will continue to carry myself professionally using all of these attributes for the rest of my career.
Thank you Quest 2!!!
